Do you want be happy? Do you want to live your dream life? And have your dream body? And be surrounded by your dream family?
It’s not that hard.
With these three simple little steps you can accomplish almost anything in your life, from losing fat to getting an amazing job, and almost everything in between.
It’s really just a matter of consistency, and the sooner you start, the faster you will succeed.
These steps are simple, but not easy. Most people will not act on this advice.
And even I’ll admit it, I’m not perfect. There are things that I think I really want in life and I could have if I followed these steps, but for some reason I haven’t. Something is holding me back. But that’s another topic for another time.
For right now, let’s take a look at the 2 simple steps that will give you everything in life…as long as you take action.
Elite athletes train with other elite athletes. Bodybuilders train in bodybuilding gyms.
CEO’s join CEO groups. Small business entrepreneurs – like myself – hang around other small business owners.
And folks like Robyn (pictured), a Turbulence Training member, have found out that the best way to lose fat is to hang around other folks who are trying to lose fat and who will encourage you and inspire you to success.
Robyn lost over 34 pounds of fat (a new Turbulence Training record!) in just 12 weeks by immersing herself in positive social support at Turbulence Training.
Over and over again, the people who win the Turbulence Training Transformation Contests are the ones who spend a significant amount of time on the member’s forum getting help from others and GIVING help to others – even though they are complete strangers all over the world.
The important thing is they are all there for the same reason, and everyone fosters a positive attitude. It’s the only way they will succeed.
Contrast these groups to “real life”, such as an office environment, where petty gossip reigns and it seems like your co-workers have nothing else to do but try to keep you from reaching your fat loss and productivity goals.
Success is as much about WHO you surround yourself with as it is what “hand you’ve been dealt”. When you connect with a powerful group of positive people, it is AMAZING what you can achieve.
So don’t give up on your dreams. There really are people out there who will encourage you instead of suffocating your hopes and dreams.
And thanks to the Internet it is easier than ever to find people who have the same goals and dreams as you. And no matter how down you might feel right now, and no matter how much negativity surrounds you, I promise you that there are people out there who want to help you and see you succeed.
Keep looking, never stop searching. You’ll find your social support.
Step 2 – Do the most valuable activity first thing in the morning.
Whether its writing, exercising, studying, or trying to contact a mentor, almost every task is easier to achieve EARLY in the day before life gets in the way.
With exercise, there’s no fat burning magic to working out first thing in the morning, HOWEVER, doing this will help you avoid obstacles and excuses that get in your way of workouts later in the day.
Consistency is a key to success with exercise, and its easier to be consistent first thing in the morning than it is at 5pm after a crazy day at work and a busy family and social life trying to pull you in 17 different directions.
Every morning I get up, walk the dog, and then come home and force myself to do 3 things before I start my regular work day…
a) I write an article for my website
b) I work for 30 minutes on a major project while my mind is fresh
c) I review 7 different documents that have all significantly influenced my philosophy on life and help guide every decision I make each day (I’ll share those with you another time)
So no matter if you are trying to stick to a workout plan or move up the ladder at work, get your most valuable task done first thing in the morning. If it’s exercise, it could give you more mental alertness all day long. And if it’s a tough task at work, just think of the feeling of accomplishment you’ll experience when you get it done.
Step 3 – Everyday take baby steps towards success.
You won’t change your life in a day. But you can in a year. Or even 6 months. Or 100 days. Just imagine what you could do in a magic 100 days.
So right now, I want you to stop reading and promise yourself that from now on…
Everyday you will be better than yesterday.
Everyday you will try to improve.
Everyday you will take action and you will NOT go to sleep until you’ve done one thing to advance you to your goal.
It doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be done. You can baby-step your way to fat loss and you can baby-step your way to becoming a millionaire. The important thing is that you ‘get steppin’.
For fat loss, I want you to try and eat a little better everyday. If you only get 2 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, then I just want you to try for 3 servings tomorrow. Not 10, just 3.
If you currently eat a Starbuck’s espresso brownie everyday, then tomorrow I want you to only eat half of it. And then the day after only 1/4 of it, and replace the rest with an apple or some almonds.
Slowly but surely, you will baby-step your way to losing 10, 20, 30, 40 pounds or more. Juan Ruiz became the first person to lose over 100 pounds with Turbulence Training by using that baby step method.
Just imagine what it can do for your life. Just imagine where you can be in 365 days from now.
Just image where those 3 simple steps can take you if you repeat them over and over again.
