If it’s sunny and above freezing, then it’s warm enough to do a suspension training workout at the park here in Canada. Right, Bally?

Thanks to Dan Long for giving me the inspiration to hit this TRX workout. It was awesome, and like Dan says in his videos, it’s the best way to hit all 600 muscles in the body. It’s almost impossible to do that with machines, or even free weights (and you know I love free weights).

So that’s why I put TRX exercises into my program. And again, as Dan also points out, combining TRX moves with dumbbell exercises or bodyweight moves gives you the most amazing muscle pump ever.

Here’s what I did on a beautiful Canadian spring morning at the local park. And yes, it’s a SKETCHY looking gym, but the workout was great 😉

1A) Pull-up
1B) TRX Reverse Lunge + 1-Leg RDL
1C) Medicine Ball Throw
1B) TRX Ab Fallout
•    Rest 30 seconds and repeat 2 more times.

Here’s the “Ab Fallout”. It’s like a stability ball rollout or power wheel rollout.

2A) TRX Pushups (max reps)
2B) TRX Row
2C) TRX Rear-Delt Fly
•    Rest 30 seconds and repeat 2 more times.

3A) TRX Triceps Extension
3B) TRX Biceps Curl
3C) TRX Ab Pike

Great times.

Sure, the workout would have been better down in St. Pete’s Beach at Joel Marion’s place, but I wouldn’t have had zany ol’ Bally the Dog by my side (he STILL doesn’t have a doggy passport yet!).
