Merry Christmas from Turbulence Training

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I want you to know how incredibly grateful I am to have you in my life.

You see, ever since I was a young boy watching my mother struggle with her weight, I’ve wanted to dedicate my life to helping people like YOU improve their lives. It doesn’t matter if that meant showing people how to eat and exercise better, or how to manage their money better, or how to build their business faster.

No matter what your goals, I’ve always felt that most people overlook the fastest ways to achieve success – but it’s not their fault…it’s the silly mainstream media and fitness world that holds most people back.

That’s why I started lifting weights and reading dozens of training books when I was just 16. And it’s why I went on to McMaster University in 1994 to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, and it’s why I stayed there for another two years to finish a Master’s Degree in Human Biodynamics (such a silly name, isn’t it?).

It’s why I started writing for Men’s Health, spending time on their forums, and creating my first program, “The Get Lean Manual” to share with my friends and readers. It’s why I started my first free email newsletter in 1999 and continue to publish free content over 13 years later. It’s why I created Turbulence Training. And perhaps most important of all, this burning desire to help people change is why I started the 1 Million Transformation Mission back in 2010.

It looks like all of these actions have put me on Santa’s “Nicelist, because in 2012 I finally received what I’ve been wanting for years…a solution to one of the biggest bottlenecks in the 1 Million Mission.

And that solution is the EarlyToRise.com $100,000 Transformation Contest that will launch on Wednesday, December 26th. Stay tuned for more details on how you can win loads of my cash just for Transforming your life in the areas of Health, Wealth, and Wisdom.

This contest will help me make a HUGE step forward towards my goal of helping 1 Million Men and Women just like you to transform their lives.

And it all started with sharing my vision and mission with the world. I set out to Transform one million people, and in the process dramatically transformed myself at the same time.

That’s the power of change. That’s the power of the Transformation. That’s the power of the deadline, public accountability, social support, goal setting, checking-in, playing UP a level, and surrounding yourself with the best people on earth. That’s the power of the Turbulence Training World.

It can change all of us. It can change your clients. It can change YOU. It will change the world. But to transform, we must first…

Break Down the Walls in Your Life to Grow

In the new house out on the old farm, construction is wrapping up. By the time you read this most of the furniture will be moved in and the house will soon become a home. Mom’s holding the big family Christmas there this year (her side), and having 50-plus people in the house will quickly “work it in”. So will having old Bally the Dog there, too, of course. Just last week I stopped by to see how the final rounds of construction were going, and I was shocked to see how small the house felt now that the walls were up…

Wide Open

Closed In

But that’s what walls do. They close things up. They shut us off. They constrict us. They take something big and make it much smaller. Walls in your house can do that, and walls in your heart and mind can do the same. So…

…you must break down the walls in your life. Or better yet, stop them before they go up.

If there is someone in your life – business or personal – where a wall is starting to build, take the sledgehammer to it now, if they are important to you. Don’t let a wall grow in your heart or mind. Open up the space, make the connection, keep the area open. You do this by growing and becoming a better person.

One quote that stuck with me and influenced me more than ever this year was this:

Before you are a leader, success is all about yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.– Jack Welch

It’s influenced my writing, my teaching, and my role as a business owner and manager of people. Those words from Welch have literally changed my perspective on life.

So my words of advice to you, as we reflect back on a record-breaking year for so many of us, and look ahead to almost unlimited potential, is to “Be the Leader!”

Grow your friends and family and co-workers. Grow yourself.

Never stop learning and improving.

I’m proud of you.

And more important, EXCITED for you and the year you have ahead. I think we’re all just getting started. 2013 is going to bring even bigger breakthroughs and personal bests in all areas of our lives.

Life is good, my friend, thanks for being a part of mine.
