The Shocking TRUTH About the Biggest Loser

In 2009, Danny Cahill, a contestant on The Biggest Loser, lost an astonishing 239 pounds in just 7 months. Eight years later he’s (sadly) regained 100 pounds.

But here’s the shocking truth.

Danny, and many other contestants, now have a SLOW metabolism.

According to a new research study from the journal Obesity, Danny Cahill “burns 800 fewer calories a day than would be expected for a man his size.”

The cardio-induced weight loss slowed his metabolism.

It’s as if his body is fighting hard to put back ON the weight.

Four others from that season of The Biggest Loser are now even heavier than when the show started, and nearly all have a slower metabolism.

According to the New York Times, “Sean Algaier, 36, a pastor from Charlotte, N.C., feels cheated. He went from 444 pounds to 289 as a contestant on the show. Now his weight is up to 450 again, and he is burning 458 fewer calories a day than would be expected for a man his size. “It’s kind of like hearing you have a life sentence,” he said.”

It’s NOT fair.

Dina Mercado, another contestant on that season, also has a slower metabolism (and burns 437 fewer calories per day than would be expected for a woman her size).

Worse, the show’s doctor, Robert Huizenga, “tells contestants that they should exercise at least nine hours a week” to keep the weight off.

Brutal.

Who has time for 9 hours per week of exercise?

And who has a body that won’t get injured in some way from 9 hours of exercise?

The answer is no one.

Scientists agree that a new approach is necessary.

So do I … one that doesn’t involve nearly 40 hours of exercise per month. That’s ridiculous.

I truly believe one of the biggest problems with the TV show’s approach to weight loss is the excessive amounts of exercise – and cardio.

The show had contestants like Danny Cahill exercising seven hours a day to burn 8000 calories.

When he went home, he was running on the treadmill for 90 minutes – BEFORE working out for 2.5 hours in the gym. No one can keep that up. Not even The Rock!

It just doesn’t work for lifelong weight loss and a lean, healthy, pain-free body.

There has to be a better way.

And there is.

It doesn’t require you going on national TV and exposing your life to the world.

It doesn’t need you to exercise 7 hours a day… or on the treadmill.

You can skip all of that nonsense and still achieve your body dreams…

…and maintain that dream body for life.

And the best news of all is that:

  1. It requires you to exercise LESS than ever.
  2. You never have to do “cardio” again.
  3. You can win my money (up to $1000) just for losing weight.
