Sexy Secrets From Las Vegas

Vegas baby! Vegas! This is my 17th trip to Sin City, and yesterday was my favorite day ever in this town, and it didn’t even involve a lot of sinning! (Just a little at dinner… details below.)

One of my old friends is the manager of the Michael Jackson show at Mandalay Bay. He gave us a pre-show backstage tour and introduced us to some of the performers. Being a nosy trainer, I asked the dancers for their exercise secrets for staying slim & sexy. Here’s their advice for you.

#1 – Do SHORT workouts only

Doing the same show over and over again for months on end is just like doing too much cardio. Both increase the risk of overuse injury. So dancers need to do short workouts with only the BEST exercises. They do NOT do long cardio or repeat the same workouts over and over.

#2 – Train many muscles with one move

None of the performers use crunches or sit-ups. They don’t do biceps curls. They don’t do triceps kickbacks, and they sure as heck don’t use the leg abduction/adduction machine.

To work their abs and protect their low backs from all the twisting and turning they do in a show, they use planks and mountain climbers. And they use moves like Prisoner Reverse Lunges to strengthen their weak spots (hamstrings and back) and to build beautiful butts and lean legs.

#3 – Always get better

They switch up their workouts frequently. There’s little benefit to your body if you do the same thing over and over and over again. Once you can do 20 bodyweight squats then it’s time to try my single-leg exercises.

Here’s a Michael Jackson-inspired sample workout video I created that works your abs and boosts your fitness while burning fat.

Now you might think, “Wait a minute Craig, you just said don’t do cardio and abs.”

And you’re right…

But this video shows you the NEW way of doing cardio and abs using my Home Workout Revolution System.

These workouts are proven by 21st Century Science to be 7x’s more effective than old-school cardio and abs.

And you don’t need any equipment at all.

Oh, and about that sinning at dinner… well, it’s true. We ate a LOT of food last night at a new restaurant called Bazaar. You can get an entire roasted suckling pig, although we opted for steaks (as big as my giant head) and these 3 amazing side dishes:

  • roasted cauliflower with pine nuts
  • Brussels Sprouts with apricots, grapes, and lemon puree
  • Catalan spinach with apple, pine nuts, shallots, and raisins

After dinner we waddled over to the Michael Jackson show and were blown away. What an amazing performance.

And while you and I might never be able to Moonwalk or move like those dancers, we CAN look like them when we steal their secrets and use science-backed workouts like these bodyweight exercises. Enjoy!

Bodyweight baby, bodyweight!

PS – Great advice for Vegas…

If you fall “off the wagon,” cut your losses, don’t worry about it, and get right back on track. Immediately. It’s minor damage that can be dealt with. Even when you eat WAY too much in Vegas! 🙂

Face up to your struggles, tackle them head on, and overcome adversity every day. Whatever is in your way, you’re going to beat it.
