Google is Destroying Your Future
This is really BAD news if you still have a job. If you’re a teacher, a personal trainer, an IT worker, a factory employee, a nurse, or even a DOCTOR, than I hope that you’re at least over 50, have an amazing work pension program, and a nifty little retirement nest egg stashed away…
…because there are two filthy rich men in California plotting to destroy your jobs. Please meet Dr. Evil and Number Two. I mean, Sergey Brin and Larry Page. <= Insert evil laugh, Mwahahaha.
Only unlike Austin Powers, this is no joke.
In 10 years from now Google will likely have destroyed your job.
From self-driving trucks to online medical diagnoses, Google is on a mission to eliminate all human error – and human employment – while profiting at your expense and unemployment.
Google is not even trying to hide it. They are happy to contribute to the destruction of the American Dream and the disappearance of America’s Middle Class.
Brin and Page recently argued that “less work wouldn’t be a bad thing”.
That is, of course, unless you count on work to put food on the table and send your kids to college…or even provide a sense of worth and happiness (which it does – my colleague Eric Barker recently reported that we are often happier at work because of the challenges it provides).
So Google is out to steal your job and your happiness, and hey, while they are at it, they’ll probably take your soul, too. Why not, right? All the more ‘fuel’ to feed the all-knowing “Big G”.
(If I mysteriously disappear after writing this, no one should be surprised! It’s like 1984 coming true! Off to Room 101 with you, Ballantyne!)
The bottom line is that a Traditional Life has NO defense against The Big G. It’s going to be a slaughter, like Germany vs. Brazil.
You’re only hope is to Choose Yourself, as my friend James Altucher says in his book of the same name.
What does that mean?
You will have to learn valuable skills. These include copywriting, storyselling, persuasion, and tribe-building.
Google can’t compete with these. It’s heartless. And each one of those talents requires both smarts and hearts. This is where you have an advantage.
This is where you beat The Big G at its own game.
You can even leverage Google against itself!
First, start by using Google to extensively research your marketplace.
Second, search Google to find out the best-selling products in your niche.
Third, scroll through Google data to see what your audience is searching for, and find out the exact phrases that make them buy.
Fourth, take that data, create an awesome product, and use your heart and soul to create compelling sales copy that persuades your market audience to join your tribe and buy your product.
Fifth, learn how to advertise on Facebook – not The Big G – and starve the Google system of the fuel that keeps it alive.
