Feel Good Success Story

I wish you could have been there.

It was November of 2007 and according to others in the “fitness business industry”, I had pulled off a small miracle by getting 53 personal trainers into a $2500 seminar.

They were there to learn how I built my online business. It was the first time I had ever shared my secrets.

Over the years the attendees have scattered, some into superstardom (like Vince Del Monte and Brad Pilon), and others into obscurity (they shall remain nameless).

Others have ebbed and flowed. Some have struggled and then finally had a big breakthrough online – and well deserved, too, I must add, such as Dr. Kareem Samhouri.

While others are still struggling.

I recently heard from one gentleman that – after more than five years of pushing and persisting – finally had his big breakthrough.

He just sent me a great email that I’ll share with you below.

Let it be the encouragement you need to stick to your plan, and to go hard when the time is right.

It also encourages me to keep doing what I do, and in fact, to do even MORE of what I do.

Live events are not easy. But they are magical.

As I said to Matt Smith about the people that attend, “It’s like planting thousands of acorns. Might take years to pay off, but when it does, there’s nothing stronger than a mighty oak.”

Stay strong and make sure to be at our next live event on November 2nd in Denver. – Craig

The Mighty Oak Starts as a Small Acorn
By “Mystery Guest Author”

Hey Craig,

Long time, no talk! How have things been in the TT and ETR world?

I’m pretty sure you know this, but I recently took a “job” with *** ***********. I started in early April and it’s been a wicked whirlwind of awesomeness. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a huge chunk of information to try and cram into my brain, but I’ve loved every second of it.

My wife and I spent some time reflecting on how I got to this point. It all started with your first conference way back in November of ’07 in Florida. I had the dream of the internet lifestyle in me, but had a lot to learn (and still do), and the years have been full of ups and downs.

I’m going to be totally honest here and tell you that there were many times I doubted my sanity.

Doubted whether all this time and money I was spending in learning all that goes along with IM – copywriting, PPC, etc. – were worth it. I knew deep down I could make it, but also knew that times were changing in the internet marketing world, and they have changed DRAMATICALLY since ’07.

I know there were a lot of people in my life who probably thought I was crazy, including my wife (but she always stuck by me because she’s all kinds of awesome).

I finally made a decision last summer to give it all I had. I was going to put every ounce of my soul into making my internet business take off and if 1 year later I wasn’t making a full-time income online that I would scale back, and put my efforts into expanding my offline business (which I really didn’t want to do).

I kept pushing, pushing, and pushing.

I had moments of fear, depression, anger, and doubt; but I always kept moving forward. I took every failure as a learning experience and kept moving forward. I knew I would make it. I can’t tell you why, but I knew it would happen.

There was a lot that went between *** and I between September of ’12 and when he made me the offer, and I won’t bore you with the specifics, but let’s just say I nearly jumped for joy when me made me the offer.

My wife and I were actually on a date night, and I pulled the big “no-no” and checked my email while she was away from the table. She was a bit peeved when she came back and saw me reading an email, but I told her this was too awesome to wait until the morning.

Did I think my “making it” would happen in this way?

Absolutely not.

I thought it would be MY business, MY programs, MY stuff…that I would be the guy.

But it took me about 2 seconds to realize the opportunity *** was giving me was what I was really working toward all these months and years. I can’t really explain it, but I knew that this was the perfect opportunity for both *** and I.

It’s a bit weird how this all came together. I’m a big believer in all things “mental” and have gone on quite the spiritual and mental journey in the last 12-18 months.

Anyway, this is turning into a rambling email, and I need to get off the computer to have dinner with the family, but I just wanted to reach out and let you know how things are going, and to say thank you.

Thank you for stepping out, stepping up and putting yourself out there as a teacher and mentor to people like me. If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am.

Not only way back in 2007 and 2008 when I was a part of your first Mastermind, along with a few other rock stars, but in the years since when your emails have kept me inspired, motivated and full of love.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you ever need anything from me. My journey, and the outcome, is a bit different than the trainers you currently help (or maybe not…I’m just guessing), but I would love to help out any way I can.

Have a great evening!

Oh, and next time you’re in Denver let me know. I’m only a 6 hour drive away and would love to meet up some time.

Sincerely,

Mystery Guest Author

Thank you, Mystery Man.

Cool story.

Made my day … and this was on a near perfect Sunday when I had an amazing workout, visit with friends, and a huge affiliate reach out to me (out of the blue) to promote my product and make me a lot of money.

This email was still the best thing that happened to me.
