Email Trick For More Sales

I once met a man in Vegas and watched him bite the head off a live shrimp at a sushi joint. He’s a legend in Sin City. I even nick-named him after that town.

And he’s a very smart marketer. So today, from my friend, Jimmy “Vegas” Sweeney comes a great email tip. Jimmy is an underground online marketer that I met many years ago through Yanik Silver. He and Mike Geary are really great friends and sometimes even get me to stay out late at night.

One night, at Underground 7 (Yanik’s event), we were out late and I started singing “Heyyyy Jimmy Vegas” to the tune of Hey Macarena. (I can be really annoying when I stay out late…ha.)

The nickname stuck and it’s been a great inside joke for a long time.

More importantly, Jimmy owns www.HonestEOnline.com – a trust-seal for your site that will increase conversions – check it out.

Heyyyyy, Jimmy Vegas!

Now to be honest, this is not the first time I’ve heard this email tip. Underground 7 marketer of the year Joel Marion passed it on years ago, but I don’t use it as much as I should. Jimmy explains it really well below.

This is a great tip for preparing emails for your affiliates, because they won’t know to do this.

An Incredible, Simple, Email Sales “Trick”
By Jimmy Sweeney

Here’s a highly profitable email tip that is as good as money in the bank.

When you send an email, it is the subject line that gets the email opened or zapped by the delete key in the blink of an eye. If your subject line is good enough to get the email opened, doesn’t it make perfect sense to use these exact words again when you want this same person to click thru and visit a webpage where you can make them an offer? Of course it does!

In fact, we’ve seen dramatic increases in click thru rates and SALES when we use this little known “trick.”

Example Subject line: “Jimmy, here’s how to burn fat WHILE you eat pizza…”

Sample Email Body Copy:

If you’re struggling to lose weight and you’re tired of bouncing from diet to diet like a YO-YO, what I’m about to share with you might sound crazy, but I dare you to take a minute and visit this web page…

Here’s how to burn fat WHILE you eat pizza…<=LINK

***
You see how congruent and harmonious this is?

This subject line got them to open the email in the first place and now you’d like them to click thru to a webpage where you will make your related offer.

Use the same subject line again! This tactic creates a “greased slide” delivering MORE PEOPLE to where you’d like them to end up.

If you’re using HTML email you can make the HYPERLINK an exact copy of the email subject line.

You may or may not want to use the Firstname Tag (Jimmy) again. That depends on the flow of the email. It’s your call.

If you’re using TEXT only email you can repeat the subject line right above the link/URL you want them to click. If you can make your link “pretty” you might want to do something like the example below to keep things as congruent as you can:

Here’s how to burn fat WHILE you eat pizza…

http://www.honesteonline.com/pizza (This is NOT an actual webpage!)

The congruency factor is KEY. It applies to everything you do in your marketing and sales funnels.

Whenever you ask someone to open or click a link that takes them somewhere else where you’ll eventually want them to take ANOTHER action, you should consider using the same headline, subject line, “major copy grabber” that you’ve used on the previous page.

This keeps many more prospects sliding right to your order form.
