#1 Skill You Need

Excuse me for being a little preachy today, but I’m all fired up from the amazing TT Summit weekend we just had down in San Diego. I was in FULL preacher mode for my big talk on Friday morning, and it’s time to keep the momentum going with you.

Time for you to STEP-Up. Let this be your call to action!
 
We start this Big Lesson with a harsh #truth.

Some of you claim to be selling, but the #truth is that you and I have a huge gap between our definitions of selling.

Selling is not writing a 750 word article and then hiding a link in the bottom of the email. That’s called the “Not Selling Sales Strategy“. It does NOT work.

Selling is getting straight to the point and putting a link ABOVE the fold. The link should match the subject line to increase Click-Through-Rate, and the copy of the email should sell, Sell, SELL.

If you aren’t happy with your sales, you must look at your emails. Not every email has to be a sales email. But if you call it a sales email, then Man-Up and make it a Sales Email.

Because…

You Can Only Save Your Customer’s Souls When You Sell.

Rule: It’s OK not to sell, but it’s NOT okay to sell and not sell. <= That’s what you do when you are scared of negative feedback from people.
Corollary: Either sell “balls to the walls” or do not sell at all. Do not pull punches.

It’s ONLY when you sell that you save someone’s soul.
Is that claim overdramatic? I think not.

Read the email below from Pastor Ewen, a TT client. You will get these emails too – but only if you keep on pushing on and sell your solutions to the world.

You won’t get these if you don’t sell. So it’s up to you whether or not you change lives. It’s not up to the end user. It’s YOUR responsibility. Do NOT hold back.

Pastor Ewen’s story will move you and is a great reminder of why we do what we do. Stay strong, sell strong, and keep on pushing on, and you will get a flood of these emails into your business too. When you get them, keep them. Print them out. Post them. Turn to them in dark days, during your dips, and when you are tired, hungry, and under deadline.

Not that you’ll have many of those days, not as a member of this group! But we must remember that not everyone is as lucky as we are, to be surrounded by high-energy, positive teammates in the Pub Partner team. That’s where we come in…we are the ROCK, the foundation, the solid ground, in the lives of strangers that read our emails.

Enjoy this man’s story, and use it as motivation to dig deeper into the emotional aspect of your copy so that we connect with these folks, help them, persuade them to act, and thus receive even more incredible, life-changed-life-changing feedback. Thank you.

Every time you make a sale you are helping people like Ewen. And even though we’ll never hear from 99% of the people that we help, the #truth is that you will end up helping strangers in a way that you simply can’t imagine. They live in places you have never heard or dreamed of, and you’re going to be helping them get through dark days and dips that you’d never wish on your worst enemy.

 That’s how important and POWERFUL you are.
 
So keep on pushing on!

What we are doing from behind our little computers with encouraging words, with beautiful eye-catching graphics, with easy-to-download products, with amazing follow-along videos and motivational audios changes the lives of thousands of strangers every day. So never stop. Every minor detail counts. Every action, from every one of our team members, makes a difference. Combined, we are moving mountains in people’s lives.

Never forget this. Have gratitude for the ability, and bring energy to the opportunity.

 Let’s change some more lives today!

But, do not neglect this WARNING I have for us all…

…Think about the inaction that you/I/we have taken. Think about the people we have MISSED OUT on helping because of what we have not done, and what we have not yet accomplished. Think about the people that are still struggling. That’s what hurts the most.

So do NOT hold back.

 Do more. Reach more. Teach more. Help more. Give more.

Help more people. Change more lives. Save More Souls.

That means NO more holding back. No hiding a sale. No pulling punches on promotions.

It’s time to Step-Up.

You can’t help if you don’t sell.

Get over your fear of asking for the sale.

Because nothing happens until the sale is made.

People don’t take massive action on free info.

They only change their lives – and write you feedback like the letter below – when they have INVESTED in their self-improvement.

So get out there and sell something.

Take Action.

Overcome Inaction and Fear.
