3 Tips From the Monk
“When a baby enters the world, the world rejoices while the baby cries. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.”
That’s a nice little lesson courtesy of Robin Sharma’s father.
I first heard about Robin when someone gave me a copy of his best seller, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. That was back in 2002 when I was struggling. It helped me. You could certainly choose worse books to read.
Recently Robin spoke at Verne Harnish’s Gazelles seminar. Afterwards Verne interviewed Robin and he dropped three great tips. You can watch the video below for more.
Robin’s #1 Tip – The 20:20:20 Start to Your Day
Train yourself to get up at 5am (CB says, “Why so late? LOL”).
Spend the first 20 minutes in exercise.
Spend the next 20 minutes working on your plan.
Spend the next 20 minutes reading.
That’s not bad. I prefer my routine
Robin’s #2 Tip – 90-1-90
For the next 90 days, spend the first 90 minutes of your day on your number one priority.
Hopefully everyone here knew this one already.
That’s the 80-20 rule. Ninety minutes is about 20% of your day, and that will give you 80% of your results.
Robin’s #3 Tip – 2X to 3X
To double your income and productivity, triple your investment in education.
I agree with this. My income went through the roof when I hired a business coach, joined a Mastermind, started going to more seminars, and networking with people that were making a lot of money and who demanded that I play UP a level.
Make the same investment and it will pay HUGE dividends.

Get up earlier tomorrow,
