3 delicious diet tips (for weight loss & pain relief)

If you’ve hit a weight loss plateau, or if you suffer from joint or muscle pain, then you’re going to love these pain relieving diet tips from today’s guest expert…

(And no, it’s not Bally the Dog. We’re still trying to teach him portion control!)

I want you to meet Missi Holt, Certified Turbulence Trainer, Master Nutrition Therapist, and Yoga Expert. She specializes in exercise and diet therapies that not only help you lose weight, but also get rid of your chronic aches and pains.

Missi understands the pain cycle you are going through. When you’re hurting, you can’t exercise. When you can’t exercise, you gain weight. When you gain weight, the pain (both in your muscles and in your mind) gets worse. On and on it goes.

Fortunately, you’re getting 3 of Missi’s most delicious diet tips for weight loss and pain relief. These foods fight inflammation in your body. When you beat inflammation, you’ll have less pain and an easier path to weight loss. These 3 foods are the PERFECT addition to your Father’s Day dinner tonight. Enjoy!  Over to you, Missi.

3 Delicious Diet Tips

Hi, Missi Holt here, and I’m excited to finally meet you. Craig has been asking me to write a guest article for weeks. I wanted my first article to make a big impact on your life and solve your pain problems. Just add these three foods to your diet and you’ll feel so much better this week.

1) Red Wine

Yes, it’s true! Red wine eliminates chronic inflammation and joint pain, all thanks to a powerful ingredient called resveratrol. Resveratrol is referred to as the anti-aging hormone and the Fountain of Youth because it improves blood flow, protects your heart, and slows aging. That’s why you feel better when you have a glass of wine. But ladies, keep it one glass, and guys, no more than two per day.

2) Sweet Potato Mash

Sweet potatoes aren’t just Craig’s favorite dish at Thanksgiving. WebMD called them one of the most nutritious foods in the world. Sweet potatoes are loaded with calcium, potassium, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Those are the most important nutrients for fighting off joint pain and arthritis.

Here’s a Missi-approved delicious diet tip: Instead of simply baking sweet potatoes, try whipping them up into a smooth, creamy mash. It’s the perfect side dish for your cookouts this summer – starting with the steaks you’ve made for Father’s Day dinner.

3) Cherries

Everyone knows that blueberries are a superfood, but so are delicious cherries. Both fruits contain anti-inflammatory phytonutrients called anthocyanins that relieve pain by neutralizing free radicals and blocking the enzymes that cause tissue inflammation.

Plus, fresh cherries are the perfect dessert and come with a built-in portion control mechanism. That’s why Craig and Bally the Dog enjoy an after dinner bowl while sitting out on the porch at the farm.

Enjoy! – Missi Holt, CTT
