Take Action

Sometimes everyone needs a kick in the butt. That’s why I put together our 1st Internet Independence Transformation Contest.

And today I want to introduce you to our 2nd winner, my friend an Mastermind member, Rick Kaselj.

I call him, “The Action Takin’ Croatian Sensation” because he always leaves our MM meetings with a to-do list and a few days later he has it all DONE.

A super high-energy guy. Here’s his entry:

“Craig, thanks for the challenge, it was a good push to action.

Goal #1 – Add 200 more people to my list
Accomplished – 219 added

This was done with a good offer on the blog and an action pop up. This kind of surprised me as this is just looking at 3 of my opt-ins and not all of the ones I have.

I don’t think anyone talks about this enough.  I just found new ways of getting people on my list.  I keep looking for new ways by seeing what others do and modeling it.

Goal #2 – 100 order
Accomplished – 87 orders

This was good.  The big lesson was sending out offers to prospects (Frank Kern talked about this), customers and sub-lists.  This can be done with new products, affiliate products or packaging things up.

I did not include affiliate sales and am on the last day of a launch so there is a good chance I will hit 100.

Goal #3 – 15,000 visitors to sites in 30-days
Accomplished  – Increased traffic from 12,903 monthly visits to
14,681 monthly visits.

I am happy with this.  I looked at my traffic for October 2010 and it was 9,645.  The trend keeps going up with my traffic to my blog.

I did this with doing 2 to 3 blog posts a week, trying to direct the blog posts towards a keyword, writing more comprehensive post and including more pictures and video.

The tips from Rick Porter, looking at Google Analytics, going back to old posts to tweak them and Fitness SEO domination all helped.

Goal #4 – Get total blog posts up to 325
Accomplished – Got up to #316

I am disappointed that I did not hit this.  The only reason I could not hit it was I was being Mr. Mom for a number weeks and did not get to sit down and get as many blog posts done as I wanted.  Will improve on this.

Goal #5 – Increase # of Youtube videos on my channel to over 250
Accomplished – Hit the 257 video mark

Just crushed this.  Video is easy for me and also helps with SEO on the blog plus being consistent with YouTube has increased my traffic to my blog from YouTube.

Goal #6 – Send 20 emails to list
Accomplished – 20 Emails sent

I am happy with this.  I thought it would be a stretch for me to do.  Since I sent out more emails, my revenues increased and my unsubscribe were overpowered by my subscribes.  Need to keep this up.  I know you talk about sending out an email a day.  Need to build to this.

Goal #7 – Contact 30 Affiliates
Accomplished – Not sure, forgot to keep track, but…

At the start of this transformation, I challenged myself to network more.

At the start it was very frustrating but after a month, those that are not reliable vanished and those that are reliable have been good allies.

Pat Beith talked about this.  There is a never ending supply of affiliates out there, you just need to find them.  Most people don’t make the effort.

Thanks Rick.

Very impressive action taking.

Everyone reading should set 7 action and process goals for the next 90 days. If you achieve even half of what Rick did, you’ll be well on your way to making $100K in 12 months.

To your success,

Craig Ballantyne
