Motivation to Overcome Internal Resistance
Day off today, as Canada celebrates something something, so I’m out on the farm walking the dog and watching him chase varmints down by the river.
If we’re lucky, he’ll see a deer. It happens once or twice a year, and it’s hilarious to watch the dog hopelessly take off after Bambi, who is always much faster.
So while we’re out pretending to be Huckleberry Finn, here’s a kick-in-the-pants for you to take action.
After all, somebody’s gotta work today.

How to Overcome the Internal Resistance Holding You Back
Today is the perfect time to take an hour or two and think about where you are, where you want to go, and what you need to do to get there…and then make an action plan to start this week.
After all…”Problems do not go away. They must be worked through or else they remain, forever a barrier to the growth and development of the spirit.” – M. Scott Peck
Take action this week on a big task that is standing in your way. Knock it out of the park and get on with your growth.
At the end of the day, here’s the politically incorrect truth:
The ONLY thing holding you back is you. If you are procrastinating, now is it the time to overcome the internal resistance that is holding you back.
As Dan Kennedy said at his 7-Figure Academy Seminar back in the summer of 2009:
“The failure to act is much more often the product of inner, emotional resistance than external resistance. To move forward you must give up your story, whether it is excuses about your childhood, lack of education, your “bad luck”, your unsupportive family, your low metabolism, where you live, etc.”
Tough love. Harsh words.
But helpful words.
Essential to those that need them and heed them.
We all can do better.
Myself, Kennedy, and you.
I know you can. I believe in you. So take some time, sit at the kitchen table, ask yourself this, and think about it:
“Why do you say that you want something BUT you refuse to act in congruence with achieving it?”
Kennedy advises that you must DIG in and get to the bottom of the persistent incongruence between what you say and what you do.
Be willing to pay the price and end the self-sabotage today.
