3 Sales Rules from Internet Marketing Beach Bum

On Wednesday morning, I watched a video by internet marketing celebrity and total beach bum, Frank Kern. In the free video, he gave 3 simple rules for selling.

Rule #1 – Tell them what you have
Rule #2 – Tell them what it will do for them
Rule #3 – Tell them what to do next

That’s it.

As I watched the video, I wrote an email for my fitness readers about a Cookbook that I was promoting as an affiliate offer.

This is the start of the email I sent out:

Here’s what I’ve got for you today:

First, “The Fat Loss Cooking Book”

Here’s what it will do for you:

It will help you eat delicious meals while supporting your fat loss program. Finally. You get to eat amazing meals that don’t ruin all of your hard workout results.

Here’s what I want you to do next:

=> Get The Fat Loss Cookbook <= Save over 50% today

This cookbook has never been offered before, and that’s why it’s on sale. It’s pennies per recipe, and you’ll lose fat while loving your food.

That was it. That was Kern’s method.

Of course, I had to mess around with the system, and so my email then went on to give an awesome diet book review and 5 rules for fat loss diets that work…

…but that wasn’t part of the plan recommended by Kern. I just wanted to give more amazing content to my readers in addition to promoting the cookbook.

The diet book review probably decreased response a little, but that’s okay, the email still 55 sales for a total of $1402 in commissions.

Screen shot for proof, for all the skeptics out there:

By the way, you’ll see the word “fitcooking” in the vendor area of that screenshot, and that is the Clickbank name of the product I was recommending. It’s a great product.

Now back to the celebrity beach bum internet guy…if you want more details on exactly how to use these 3 simple rules for selling, you can watch Frank Kern explain the system here:

NOTE: That’s a link to a free video. It is not an affiliate link. I make no moniez from this link.

But you will,

Craig Ballantyne

If you’re going to sell, then SELL. Don’t hold back. Your half-hearted sales attempts will bother people more than a strong, confident call-to-action.

  • LOL! Craig this is phenomenal! I’m going to try it out! 😀
Also love the PS at the end!:
“If you are going to sell, then SELL! Don’t hold back. Your half-hearted sales attempts will bother people more than a strong, confident call-to-action!”
    Thanks for that reminder! 😉

Been on your list for a few weeks now and find your input to be good stuff, recommended by ‘sovereign man’ Simon Black, a good guy. Unfortunately I do not find Frank Kern to be a ‘good guy’ of same vein. Brilliant guy, but yet do not trust him.

  • Beth Stowers

Thank you for your e-mail! I love that you put Frank Kern’s teachings to the test and then told us what you did and what your results were. 🙂

I really, really like Frank Kern. I just bought some stuff from him the other day (the upsells from his free book) and am already done with his classes that I bought. Solid stuff and he gave way more content than a lot of internet marketers have given me in the past (except for you 😉

Also, I was looking at a thread at Warrior Forum and saw Frank Kern and Trey Smith on there, giving great content, advice and support to people who had just bought a product and wanted a refund for it. Frank Kern even gave out a personal e-mail for people to contact him with (I might not have done that, I would have let my support people handle it). And there are many, many marketers that wouldn’t have been as helpful as they were.

    Thank you again!

Hi Beth, thanks for your feedback. I had lunch with Frank the other week, and I thought he was great. Never had a problem with him. Glad you liked his products.
