Inspirational Website Business Interview

What a crazy past 48 hours it has been.

I’m down in South Florida with my business partner Matt chasing a deal…we’re trying to buy a website business that I’ve wanted to run since 2003.

It’s been a serious roller coaster ride of emotion. From skeptical to highly enthusiastic to deeply disappointed to cautiously optimistic.

At one point yesterday I felt like George Clooney’s character from “Up in the Air”, when we went to meet with the staff. And trust me, that is NOT a good feeling.

Worse, I felt like I was punched in the stomach when I looked at the sales and email data.

I was such a fan of this website that I took the numbers personally – even though I don’t own it yet.

That said, we’re being objective and doing our due diligence, and we know that we can make it work

– because we’re both extremely passionate about the subject.

We aren’t 100% sure if this is going to go through, but I’ll keep you up to date on it…as well as everything we do to build the business up to its past glory – if we get the chance.

It’ll be quite a tale to tell. The deal of a lifetime. My biggest legacy by far, it all goes right.

Also, I’ve been on the road for 7 days (despite planning – and packing – for just 2 days.) It’s all left me a bit beat.

And so…I’m using up a “get out of jail free card” today…since I’ve been on this extended trip and I have a 6am flight back to Toronto today.

That means I just didn’t have time to write up another awesome Internet Independence.com email for you. However…

I have over 53 interviews with amazing website business owners in my vault, and today we’re going to listen to one of the most inspirational.

This call is with Carrie Wilkerson, a woman who went from being $100K in debt to having one of the most positive and powerful website businesses that I know.
