The Power of “Like”
By Sandi Krakowski

I recently installed a plugin on my WordPress blog, and was completely blown away by the results. Opt-ins to my list increased significantly, the number of new friend requests that came in on Facebook nearly tripled in less than a week, and, most important, my sales increased.

All that and my additional marketing costs were… zero.

This plugin allows me to be exposed to people all over Facebook that I might never have known existed. Not only that, it connects me to people that never even knew I existed… or my blog.

This plugin takes about 15 seconds to install and activate. Your readers will enjoy using it… and they’ll get a psychological sense of fulfillment every time they do!

What more could you ask for? I have been asking myself that question over and over again!

So What’s It Called? And How Does It Work?

I’m talking about a Facebook “Like” plugin for WordPress — and you want it to show prominently above and below all your pages and posts. It shows the familiar Facebook thumbs up button, and, next to it, how many people like that particular bit of content.

But before you make a mad dash to your WordPress dashboard to install it, let me say this. Not all Facebook Like plugins are created equal.

The one I am using is called: fbLikeButton

The author of this plugin is Dean Peters.

When you go to the plugin section of your Wordpress dashboard, be sure to type in fbLikeButton (all one word with no spaces), and then look for this author. Install and you are all set.

This plugin is a dream come true for marketers!

Here’s the deal…

This little button creates a connection between you and your readers at a level that is like no other. It gives them a sense of belonging to your “tribe.”

Some of your readers will want to “thumbs up” every article on your entire blog so they can feel as though they have done their part! It goes without saying that creating this kind of culture is exactly what you want.

But it doesn’t stop there. Oh no. It gets even better!

When someone “likes” something you have written on your blog, it connects that title to their Facebook profile page. It is now viewable by all of their friends.

The message that appears on that person’s profile page not only says that they “like” your article, it gives the specific keywords that you created in your tagline in Wordpress. On top of that (as if that’s not enough to celebrate!), it gives the URL of the blog the article came from.

Yes… ponder that a moment.

And… because we are wise marketers who seek to verify and quantify everything we do, let’s do the math.

Mary has 2,349 Facebook friends.

Mark has 345 Facebook friends.

Susan has 1,309 Facebook friends.

James has 389 Facebook friends.

MaryJane has 786 Facebook friends.

And James, he has 2,319 Facebook friends.

If these six people “like” your article, you are now being advertised to:

7,497 people with the click of a button.

It didn’t cost you a penny.

It didn’t require hiring staff.

It didn’t require any extra hours.

It’s a beautiful thing!

When these 7,497 people are viewing your article that their “friend” likes, they might not only read the article (clicking through), they could also desire to become your “friend”!

What if only 10% of the people who have never met you before click through just to take a peek at your article?

That’s 749 clicks through to your website.

Let’s say only 5% of them click through. That means 374 clicks through to your website.

I’ll say it again… it’s a beautiful thing.

This has got to be one of most amazing free advertising tips I have ever seen.

It’s non-salesy, it’s not cheesy… and it works!

It could increase your readership, your friends on Facebook, your connections, your network, and your sales volume in under 15 seconds.

So go! NOW! Install the fbLikeButton.

Why Not Join Them?

This November, aspiring entrepreneurs and successful business owners alike will be flocking to Delray Beach and ETR’s Info-Marketing Bootcamp.

Your trip to Florida will be the best investment you ever made. We know that because of the responses we have gotten from past attendees — like these:

  • “Really incredible. The sort of information you can get at this seminar versus others is actionable and hugely doable — presented in such a fashion that you know how to implement it. I had been stymied and deadlocked, and that is finally over.” – Rick Louis

  • “The content is amazing. The speakers are amazing. You get everything you need to know to get online. I secured five joint ventures while I was here. This is the best money you can possibly spend.” – PJ McClure

  • “I’ve got to tell you, this Bootcamp is one of the best experiences that I’ve had. I’ve been in the direct-marketing arena for about 25 years, and I’ve learned a tremendous amount in the last two and a half days of attending this conference. All the presentations were absolutely fantastic.” – Lou Betancourt

“Delivered and then some.”

“[ETR's Bootcamp] completely over-delivered. Every speaker, everything promised, was delivered and then some. The accessibility of speakers, the warmth of the staff — I never attended a conference with this much great information. Made some great connections with people.”

The Tables Have Turned

Right now, corporate America is getting filthy rich off of you. It happens every time you shell out money for almost any item — large or small. These profits come from massive mark-ups on imports from places like China, where a widget may cost a buck or two but sells here for $19.95.

But now the tables have turned — thanks to the Internet and our global economy. And you can be the one reaping windfall profits from the import business. Best part: You can easily run the entire business online, with no employees, no previous experience or knowledge, and with as little as $50 in start-up costs.

So let’s get going! Learn how you can get started right now!
