Word to the Wise: Disparate
Archives: Wise | Word to the Wise
"Disparate" (DIS-per-it) – from the Latin for "separate" – means fundamentally distinct or different.
Example (as used by David Cross today): "A salesman needs to visit a number of geographically disparate cities."
