Medically, a Postmortem (post-MAWR-tum) — from the Latin — is the examination of a body after death. We also use the word when talking about an evaluation or discussion of an event after it has occurred.

Example (as used by John Nyaradi today): “Successful traders don’t go back and look at trades they have sold to see how they ‘would’ve done.’ When a trade is over, it’s over. They don’t do a postmortem to see if they were ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ about the market.”

  • Thank you for the learning opportunity you guys share. It’s a big help, especially for me, a start-up businessman without any system of organization at all. I’m from the southernmost point of the Philippines, and I really want to learn and explore more. I admire companies like Toyota, Ford, Walmart, Starbucks, and McDonald’s. How organized they are in terms of servicing and competitiveness.

I am looking forward to more learning from you.

    Thank you for the opportunity.
