The Pumpkin Capital of the World
Archives: It's Good/Fun to Know
If you’re a fan of pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dessert, say thanks to the pumpkin farmers in central Illinois. They grow about 90 percent of the U.S. pumpkin crop. It produces 85 percent of the canned pumpkin on supermarket shelves.
