Excellent plug for Adwords, Mary Ellen! The testing element of PPC is first rate - especially compared to old-school direct mail. Not only can you test ad copy as you mentioned - quickly - you can now test different offers with different demographics. Google's demo numbers aren't as robust as Yahoo's, but it's a start. It's definitely worth the effort if you're testing offers. Tim Ferriss tested and found his book title 'The Four Hour Work Week" using PPC.
