Motivation to Take Action

Tomorrow’s May 1st. May is one of my favorite months of the year. You get those really nice spring days in Toronto that convince the girls to get out their summer dresses for work.

It’s a beautiful thing.

But…

It also means that 33% of the year has passed.

As my friend Alwyn Cosgrove would ask, “Are you 33% of the way towards your goals?”

If you have ambitions of making over $100,000 this year, you should already have made $33,000. Are you on track?

(Tomorrow it’ll be 33.3% of the way done.)

If you’re not on track, we need to put some urgency in your efforts. You need to realize that the amount of time you have to take control of your financial independence is quickly passing. It is time that you cannot get back.

It is up to you to take personal responsibility in putting the information I give you into action.

You can’t just be an information gatherer. That’s a mistake too many people make.

Too many folks invest enormous amounts of time and great sums of money in learning new facts and figures yet remain broke because they don’t put any of this into use.

You must do the opposite and be an ACTION TAKE.

Get outside of your comfort zone.

Avoid self-sabotage.

Fail forward.

Or else.

Those who don’t take personal responsibility and don’t take action will be in the same place 12 months from now…only older.

I know you’re different, and I know you are one of these action takers that the world needs right now.

You want a better life, and you deserve a better life, now go out and get it.

Remember, as Dave Kekich says, “No one gets old by surprise.”

We all know the clock is ticking, but left to the busy-ness and business of our lives, the days pass by, slowly at first, but rapidly in hindsight.

Let me tell you about hindsight. I once screwed up something when I was young, and I apologized to an older man who had been inconvenienced by my poor judgement.

“I’m sorry, in hindsight I shouldn’t have done that,” I said.

And he replied without mercy, “Hindsight is the lowest form of intelligence.”

Ouch.

But, I couldn’t argue with him.

I should have known better. I had all the facts and still made my error.

Don’t be like me.

You know the score. You know how the world is changing.

Don’t be looking back in hindsight a year from now thinking, “I should have taken action sooner.”

Listen, the only person who controls what you do with your time is you.

Only you control your future and your behavior.

Don’t blame anyone else.

Don’t wait any longer to get started.

Take action NOW.

Create your product.

Write the salesletter.

Doesn’t matter which order.

Just do something.

Then start selling.

I believe in you.

You can do it.

Tell me about your success,

Craig Ballantyne

…Drop the negatives. Hang around positive people. And most importantly, believe in – and expect more of – yourself.
