The world’s largest tidal turbine engine, located off the coast of Northern Ireland, began generating electricity in July. The turbine works underwater, powered by moving tides (which are more predictable than the wind that powers its wind-driven counterparts). The turbine will be able to produce enough electricity to power 1,000 homes.

But don’t get too excited about this new energy source just yet. It is estimated that tidal energy has the potential to account for only a small percentage of the world’s energy needs.

Testimonials

  • Thank as always for your daily dose of motivational and useful information. Your article “Another Way to Make Money on Oil” blew me away. It revealed a profit correlation between the oil companies and their “service providers” that has been right in front of our eyes without us even seeing it. I believe you are spot on your prediction on this future trend. It is like you have hit us on the head with an investment book so hard that some of us must not fail to wake up.

Best regards and looking forward to your insightful feedback.
