A mini-website (or single page) that opens of its own accord, in a new web browser window and displays advertisements. Pop-ups are generally frowned upon by web surfers, but are still widely used across the World-Wide-Web and even though many browsers now have built-in popup blockers, webmasters are figuring out new and inventive ways to bypass them every day. Pop-ups are still a huge marketing tool for many web sites and are great for gathering emails and other valuable info from your web site visitors.
