Regarding the link and article about dirty hotels-

Avoid if possible the (Not So) Super 8 near the Merchandise Mart in Denver. Cheap $58/night but I remember snow drifting around the door last winter. Used the bath across an icy parking lot adjascent to the office due to the sardine squeeze loo and low light.

I would like to stay at the hotel adjoining the Merchant Mart, but it is booked two years in advance for WESA. The waiting list was 16 pages long, months before the event. The Super 8 was closest, and everyone snickered when I admitted to my hotel. They too had stayed there only once, tempted by location. If attending a major event, ask regular attendees (buyer or seller) for suggestions.
My secret for getting a great room: only stay at places that offer a functioning INDOOR pool. This is expensive to maintain. It's easy for management to hand out of our or closed for maintenance, continuing to collect the higher room rate without spending the loot for chemicals and heat. If those corners are cut, so will others, like washing bedspreads and pillows frequently, deep cleaning, and other maintenance and amenities. Be sure to determine that the pool is operational, and the hours of operation. Due to my health issues, a few kind managers have allowed me a quiet dip at 3 am. Water walking relieves back pain faster than any pain relief pill. Happy Travels Liz

Just shows that we can't be complacent and that we have to learn and evolve with the changes at Google if we want to be here for the long haul... Thanks and keep up the good work and keep the info and the updates on the changing search engines coming...
