I am and personally know several excellent graphic designers of many years experience. Their skills surpass much of what I have even seen displayed on the internet; I mean artistic as well as communication and computer skills. The market is 99% handing out deals to friends and dealing with unprecented competition from relatively poor designers. Those who are good are scratching poverty.
