Hi Michael,

thanks for this article.
I'm a lone-wolf by nature, but I made conscious efforts to partner up with others and had the great pleasure to team up with really great and bright people - and later those business partnerships morphed into longlasting friendships. None of these original projects has survived the test of time, but we are still in regular contact, help each other out, brainstorm together and to me, that's one of the most valuable assets I have these days.

I tended to be "autistic" with everything business, and good knowledge. I wanted to "keep the secrets" to myself - it wasn't until I had the luck to partner up with a great friend who really enjoyed sharing knowledge, that I found there was way more to gain if you spread the good stuff, rather than clinging to it.

The, "the power of two brains", aiming at the same goal is something that I'm more convinced of than ever.

With that realization came new challenges, many of which I'm still trying to master. How to deal with "ego plays" (not just those of others, but also my own)? How to deal with conflict? What if there is a major disagreement on a decision? How to deal with the feeling of "being entitled" for certain privileges? These are things that I'm currently struggling with, and I haven't found a shortcut to mastering them other than the school of hard (and oftentimes painful) knocks. I want to be a catalyst for my business, not a bottleneck, but I realize that I have to get over "my feelings of importance" and my "ego defense-shields".

Would be great to read your advice on that, Michael.

Thanks,
Joe Paz, the "Memory Improvement Man"
