For years, we’ve been urging you to rid yourself and your family of the TV habit – and to use that time to further your goals and spend more time enjoying the company of your spouse and kids. If you haven’t already done so, this should convince you that the time has come: Recent studies by French and American researchers have shown that children with a TV in their room are more prone to serious health and developmental problems like obesity and insomnia. They also are more likely to smoke and do poorly in school. Easy access to TV, say the scientists, coupled with lack of parental involvement, interferes with their sleep and homework time.
